Important Update on Virtual Fall District Meetings

Many of our members are still working through the devastating impacts of Hurricane Laura. We are thinking of our members affected by the storm and our members who are assisting family and loved ones during this time. For more information regarding storm relief, please visit GOHSEP at https://gohsep.la.gov/.

Due to Hurricane Laura and the COVID-19 pandemic, the LRTA Executive Committee approved a motion to allow any LRTA District to cancel or postpone their Virtual Fall District Meeting. You all should have received an email regarding your specific LRTA District’s decision for their meeting. Here are the statuses for all LRTA Virtual Fall District Meetings:

District I – CANCELED
District II – CANCELED (with the possibility to reschedule)
District III – CANCELED
District IV – CANCELED (with the possibility to reschedule)
District V – CANCELED (with the possibility to reschedule)
District VI – POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE
District VII – CANCELED (with the possibility to reschedule)
District VIII – CANCELED
District IX – POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE
District X – POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE
District XI – POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE

For LRTA Districts that have postponed their meetings or canceled with the possibility to reschedule: Once a date is determined for the rescheduled meeting, LRTA will communicate this information with the members. Anyone who registered for a District Meeting that was canceled will receive a cancelation email. You do not need to take any further action.

We look forward to a time when we can meet with our members again (even if it is virtually). For now, we want everyone to focus on recovery efforts and helping their communities.

Please share this information with anyone who may not see this message.

Please stay safe, and take care.

Regards,
Rodney R. Watson
LRTA Executive Director
