October 23, 2020On Oct. 15, HB 97 (Emergency Return to Work) by Rep. Tony Bacala passed through the House of Representatives. The bill was referred to the Senate Retirement Committee, which met on Oct. 20.
Ultimately, the Committee deferred the bill. The bill will not move forward to the full Senate for further consideration.
LRTA would like to thank our members for staying engaged, taking the time to contact their legislators and responding to our calls for action. We appreciate your active membership, and we continue to advocate on your behalf.
The Special Session must end by 6 p.m. on Oct. 27. LRTA continues to monitor the session for any fiscal considerations that could affect retirement or our benefit plan.
