(March 19, 2020):

As we come to terms with the tragic health crisis embracing our country, the LRTA State President Nancy Quigley and LRTA Executive Director Rodney Watson have decided to close the LRTA Baton Rouge office and participate in social distancing to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
Effective at noon today (March 19, 2020), the office will close until health restrictions are lifted. Each staff member will be working remotely from home and come into the office individually as the need arises.
Our office has prepared a series of videos that explains the materials presented at the District meetings, and we will send those out periodically through email blasts and social media. Additionally, all district handouts are scanned and posted to our website. Go to lrta.net, click on the icon in the upper right-hand corner “LRTA & The Louisiana Legislature.”
Finally, once the health restrictions are lifted and the office resumes normal operations, we will begin the process of rescheduling District and State meetings.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work as a community to resolve our international health crisis. We hope to return soon so we can continue to MAKE YOUR RETIREMENT YEARS GREAT!

Regards,
Rodney R. Watson
LRTA Executive Director
