Amanda Bourgeois is a Louisiana native with a love for all cultures. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a focus in digital art from LSU. She has worked with many different types of media and in several different types of communication platforms and industries. Her teachers have made a big impact on her life and feels that she is paying it back by paying it forward through the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. In an ever changing world, Amanda continuously works to improve her personal knowledge in art/communication, tech and advocacy. Working with retired teachers, she always welcomes a good story, forever curious to learn more about various approaches to teaching, communication, and all anecdotes that follow!
She has volunteered with the Exchange Club, helping advocate for abused children and continues to spend her free time helping animals. She is an artist and lover of travels but always flocks back home to Louisiana where there is already lots of culture, art and heart in the people who live here.
