Barbara L. Davis is a resident of East Baton Rouge Parish and she was educated in the public school system of EBR.
She is a 1962 graduate of McKinley Sr. High; she furthered her education at Southern University A&M college receiving a B. A., M. Ed +30 degrees. In 1968 she began her professional career teaching in Iberville Parish Schools. Barbara retired in 2010 with 45 years of service. She officially became a retiree 14 years ago.
However, she continues to work in her community as a member of *New Prospect B. C., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority /TKO chapter, the Red Hatters Society, and McK Class of 1962.
She is a dutiful wife to Nathaniel, mother of two adult daughters, grandmother to five adult grandchildren and a grateful great-grandmother to 14 loving great grandchildren.
Barbara has been actively involved in the LRTA and Iberville RTA for over 14 years. In her local Unit she has served as membership chair, and is in her third term serving as President of Iberville RTA.
She is surrounded by a supportive group of individuals called friends, whom she has know for 40+ years. She is a dedicated hard-working person who prefers being involved in productive activities while being of service to others.
