Amanda Bourgeois is a Louisiana native with a love for all cultures. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a focus in digital art from LSU. She has worked in various industries and different forms of tech, as well as within several different types of software platforms. Always a student seeking new knowledge, teachers have made a big impact on her life. Amanda feels that she is paying it back by paying it forward through the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. Working with retired teachers, she always welcomes a good story, is forever curious to learn more about various approaches to becoming a better teacher herself, a better communicator, and looks forward to all anecdotes that follow her adventures and (sometimes) misadventures!
She has volunteered with the Exchange Club, helping advocate for abused children and continues to spend her free time helping animals. Despite her wanderlust, Amanda always flocks back home to Louisiana where there is most of what she seeks: a melting pot of culture, art and the good hearts of too many people to count.
