June 28, 2021The Louisiana Retired Teachers Association is the recipient of the 2021 We Care Grant through the National Retired Teachers Association. NRTA is considered the retired education community of AARP. NRTA will provide grants up to $5,000 to retired educator associations through June 30, 2021. These grants are available to retired educator associations across the country to support virtual member engagement. LRTA previously received the We Care Grant in 2020.
“We are excited to continue to partner with AARP so LRTA can continue to provide exceptional service to our members,” says LRTA Executive Director Rodney Watson. “Technology has transformed how we operate as an organization. This grant will support our technology infrastructure so we can continue to provide virtual opportunities for members who are interested.”
