Representative Larry Bagley was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2015 and began his first term in January 2016. Rep. Bagley has been involved in education most of his life and retired after 44 years. He is certainly no stranger to the people of House District 7, which consists of Caddo, DeSoto and Sabine parishes. He served two terms as a Logansport City Councilman. Rep. Bagley is also the former presidents of the DeSoto Parish Teachers Association and the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches.
Rep. Bagley earned a bachelor’s degree from Baptist Christian College of Shreveport in Elementary Education, a Master of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin University, and +30 from Northwestern Louisiana University. Rep. Bagley serves on the following committees: Appropriations, Health and Welfare, Labor and Industrial Relations, Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, Louisiana Republican, Legislative Delegation, Louisiana Rural Caucus, and North Louisiana Legislative Delegation.
