At their last meeting for the 2021-2022 year, the Iberville Retired Teachers Association reflected on how much has changed with its members and the Unit. Read Iberville RTA President Barbara Davis’s perspective on the Unit meeting in June 2022.
“The Iberville RTA meeting was a celebration of Leadership, Scholarship, School Spirit and Summer Fun. During this season of Covid-19 we have managed to meet via teleconference, Zoom and in person meetings we have been diligently working to fulfill our commitment to our association and to honor our members whom we have lost. We celebrate leadership by congratulating those who have pledged to lead our organization as officers for the 2022-2024 term.
LRTA District IV President, Jevella Williamson, graciously responded to the call to install our new officers and members for their dedication to our association. Iberville RTA celebrated five 2022 graduates who have demonstrated good character in their communities and in school activities, therefore, giving each of them encouragement for their future endeavors.
Retired Judge Freddie Pitcher, Jr was an inspiring motivational speaker to students and all in attendance. The Tri-Parish Jazzy Red Hatters were in special guest attendance to help us as we celebrated our closing meeting. Annually, we acknowledge the schools that have given us the fundamental foundation that has allowed us to achieve in the careers we pursued. Now we are enjoying our Summer break to Relax, Refuel and Recruit new members to begin our 2022-2023 year.”
Keep up the great work, Iberville RTA! We can’t wait to see what you will do in the new membership year.
