Louisiana Retired Teachers Association Announces Fall Meeting

The fall meeting serves as an opportunity for retired educators around the state to connect with one another. “Back in the Saddle, Again” will be the first in-person fall meeting LRTA has held since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are excited to be ‘back in the saddle, again’ with our members,” says LRTA Executive Director Rodney Watson. “It has been nearly three years since our last fall meeting. We are working hard to create a relevant and interesting program for retirees and members of LRTA.”

Douglas Swenson, deputy director of TRSL, will also discuss recent changes to the return-to-work laws for retired teachers. In addition, Col.
