Education funding topic of town hall; positive response to return-to-work retirees

As you may recall, LRTA recently joined the Louisiana Public Schools Coalition. The coalition hosted several town hall meetings across the state of Louisiana over the past three weeks. On March 26, the coalition met in Lake Charles with a panel of senators and representatives. The panel provided insight on the upcoming legislative session, teacher and support staff pay raises and teacher retention and recruitment.
